1.3.7 Provide a listing of manholes that were located by field crews, but were not opened due <br />to deterioration of the manhole cover and ring, etc. <br />1.3.8 Provide a listing of manholes that were buried more than four inches deep in grass and/or <br />dirt or more than one inch deep in asphalt. <br />1.3.9 Provide immediate notification of field conditions that could cause damage to persons or <br />property. The Consultant will inspect the entire collection system in the study area during this <br />field task and all subsequent field tasks. In addition, the Consultant will notify the City weekly <br />regarding manholes that could not be located or opened. <br />1.3.10 Prepare a technical memorandum outlining the results of this task for review by the City. <br />This technical memorandum will provide tabular listings of system assets and the approximate <br />linear footage between manholes, cleanouts, etc. The Consultant will submit the memorandum <br />to the City in hard copy as well as PDF and Word formats. <br />1.3.11 Provide map updates for use in Task 1.4. <br />1.4 TASK 3 - BELOW GROUND PHYSICAL INSPECTION <br />The Consultant will: <br />1.4.1 Open manholes, examine the interior and inspect each sewer line entering and leaving <br />each manhole. The inspection of these manholes will involve the use of a manhole camera that is <br />designed for the inspection of sewer lines from the ground surface or descending into the <br />manhole, when necessary. In addition, the Consultant will take photographs of the top of the <br />manhole, the interior, and of all moderate to severe defects. The Consultant will provide the City <br />with all information gathered during this work, including photographs in electronic and hardcopy <br />formats. <br />1.4.2 Record the following information for each manhole inspected: <br />a) Manhole identification number; <br />b) Construction materials and conditions of cover, ring, walls, steps, bench, and invert; <br />c) Manhole depth (in feet); <br />d) Number and size of holes in manhole cover; <br />e) Infiltration sources; <br />f) Evidence of leaks and location; <br />g) Level of high water mark in the manhole, if present; <br />h) Type and depth of debris, if present; and <br />i) Special problems and conditions such as: sources of inflow; evidence of overflows; <br />unauthorized bypass pipes; and manholes located in natural ponding areas, etc. <br />Structural Defects, if any, will be noted. <br />1.4.3 Record the following data for each line segment inspected: <br />GSWW, Inc.
