<br />2 <br /> <br />Regular Heeting <br /> <br />January 8, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY HISTORICAL ZONING ORDINANCE WITH <br />REGARD TO SUPPORT STAFF, REFERENCE TO FEDERAL HISTORIC <br />PRESERVATION STANDARDS, AND MEMBERSHIP QUALIFICATIONS FOR <br />THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION; PROVIDING FOR <br />SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; <br />PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br />Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL AIRPORT CHAPTER OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY TO ADOPT BY REFERENCE CERTAIN <br />STANDARDS FOR FIXED BASE OPERATORS AND TENANTS AT THE SAN <br />MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT WITH THIS ORDINANCE; <br />PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br />Ordinance on second reading, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUN~IL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, DESIGNATING A REINVESTMENT ZONE PURSUANT TO CHAPTER <br />312 OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE TO INCLUDE PROPERTY PARTIALLY <br />INSIDE AND PARTIALLY OUTSIDE OF THE CITY LIMITS OF SAID <br />CITY, COMPRISING AN AREA OF APPROXIMATELY 55.077 ACRES <br />LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION OF <br />INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 AND CENTERPOINT ROAD, TO BE KNOWN AS <br />REINVESTMENT ZONE NO.5; ESTABLISHING THE SPECIFIC <br />BOUNDARIES THEREOF; MAKING CERTAIN STATUTORY FINDINGS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading <br />and Mr. Hart seconded the motion. On roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: <br /> <br />Moore, Hernandez, Hart, Morris, Kissler, Plummer. <br /> <br />NAY: <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Guerra. <br /> <br />(Mr. Guerra present at 7:46 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an <br />Ordinance on third and final reading, the caption which was read <br />as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF THE EXISTING CABLE <br />TELEVISION FRANCHISE FROM KARNACK CORPORATION TO MISSION <br />CABLE ASSOCIATES, L.P.; PROVIDING THAT THIS TRANSFER SHALL <br />BE SUBJECT TO ALL EXISTING TERMS OF THE CABLE TELEVISION <br />FRANCHISE; PROVIDING FOR WRITTEN ACCEPTANCE TO BE FILED BY <br />MISSION CABLE ASSOCIATES, L.P.; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Plummer moved for adoption of the Ordinance on third and <br />final reading and Mr. Moore seconded the motion.
