<br />4 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />January 8, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />OF LAND AREA IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED ALONG THE <br />SOUTHEAST SIDE OF THE 700-1100 BLOCKS OF RIVER ROAD; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of a <br />Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY AND THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, <br />OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A CONTINUOUS HIGHWAY <br />ILLUMINATION SYSTEM ON IH35 WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF <br />SAN MARCOS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris moved to table consideration of the Resolution until <br />January 22, 1990 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held December 11, 1989, approval of two <br />Ordinances on second reading, adoption of five Resolutions, <br />approvl of Change Order No.2 in the amount of $6,670.00 for <br />force main relating to Northeast IH35 Waterline Extension Project <br />and approval to close a portion of Sessoms (beginning at the <br />intersection of State and Sessoms and ending at Comanche and <br />Sessoms) on Saturday, March 3, 1990, from 7:30 a.m.-9:30 a.m. for <br />SWTSU Cycling Team Stage Race (Prologue Race). The Council <br />removed Items 9.C.(2), 9.C. (4) and 9.C. (5) to be considered <br />separately. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held December 11, 1989 (Mr. Guerra abstaining), <br />approval of the two Ordinances on second reading, adoption of the <br />remaining two Resolutions, approval of the Change Order in the <br />amount of $6,670.00 for the IH35 Waterline Extension Project and <br />approval to close a portion of Sessoms on March 3, 1990, and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The <br />captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 2, ADMINISTRATION, OF <br />THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY TO ADD SECTION 2-10, <br />INDEMNIFICATION AND DEFENSE OF CITY OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES; <br />PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR <br />PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN ~ffiRCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONE ON <br />BUENA VISTA STREET AND ON FOREST DRIVE, ÁND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Adoption of Resolutions: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT <br />WITH CH2M HILL FOR THE PROVISION OF ENGINEERING SERVICES IN <br />CONNECTION WITH THE EAST SIDE WASTEWATER INTERCEPTOR <br />PROJECT., AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, DETERMINING THAT CERTAIN ORIGINAL POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />RECORDS OF THE CITY ARE WORTHLESS, DIRECTING THE CITY <br />MANAGER TO DISPOSE OF THESE RECORDS IN A MANNER CALCULATED <br />TO DESTROY THEM IN THEIR ENTIRETY, AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
