<br /> 117 <br /> Regular Meeting April 9, 1990 Page 5 <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br /> follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE DESIGNATION OF A HANDICAPPED PARKING <br /> SPACE ON SOUTH L.B.J. DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; <br /> REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Ordinance on first <br /> reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed <br /> unanimously. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br /> follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29-111 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br /> ORDINANCES TO ADD A NO PARKING ZONE ON GUADALUPE STREET; <br /> PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; REPEALING ALL CONFLICTING <br /> ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br /> and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. The Council requested Staff <br /> provide information regarding any available space for 15-minute <br /> parking, and minimum area needed for both sets of the mail drop <br /> boxes. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the <br /> Ordinance on first reading. <br /> Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an <br /> Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as <br /> follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY WHICH <br /> ABUTS LOT 17-C OF THE RESUBDIVISION OF LOTS 16 AND 17 OF THE <br /> O. E. Mayor Morris moved to amend <br /> the Ordinance to approve the wording provided by Mr. Taylor in <br /> Sections 1 and 2 as follows: Section 1.
