RECITALS. 1. The Cite wishes to improve the safety wrid of lciency of movement of pedestrians and bicyclists through the construction of - nn ADA compliant Cross-Town Pathway-Bicycle and Pedestrian, Transportation Corridor (the "Project"). 2. The Texas Department of TransP or;.ation (-T-001") has grant funding available through the Texas Enhancement (:.TE') Program. 3. The City wishes to submit a grant to Tx:DOT for consideration of this available grant funding. RESOLNTD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITE' OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. The submission c•i a grant application to TxDOT for TE grant funding for construction of the Project which will ass s: ;n accornplishing surface transportation goals of the City and its surface transportation partners is approved.. PART 2. The City agrees to commit to the P'roject's development. implementation, construction, mains nance, management and financing. PART 3. The Ciry its provision cf 30 percent of the total cost in local matching funds. PART 4.
