Womack <br /> City Attorney Mark Taylor <br /> Director of Planning Mary Martinez <br /> Fire Chief Dan O'Leary <br /> Police Chief Tom Martin <br /> Director of Inf.Mgmt.Servs. Ramona Brown <br /> Director of Finance Bill White <br /> Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb <br /> Director of Library Stephanie Langenkamp <br />Also Present: John DeMoor, Melissa Millecam, Dan Gibson, Janace <br />Wade, Jane Hughson, Bob Higgs, Rene Gonzales, Kim McCollum, <br />Collette Boruff, Eva Vangi-Stern, Nick Caruso, Wayne Moore, Jim <br />Gandy, Jeff Kester, Johnnie Armstead, Susan Miller and others. <br />Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of <br />appointments to the Citizens Committee on Solid Waste Management <br />(Temporary). Mr. Hart moved to appo~nt Matt Hyder, Ms. Kissler <br />moved to appoint Rebecca Bell-Metereau, al'ld Mayor Morris moved to <br />appoint Henry Krause, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN <br /> OF THE CITY FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL, FOR <br /> LOTS 4-8 OUT OF THE PERKINS ADDITION, TOGETHER WITH THREE <br /> UNPLATTED TRACTS OF LAND, AS FOLLOWS: TRACT 1: 0.580 ACRES <br /> OUT OF THE THOì-1AS JEFFERSON CHAMBERS LEAGUE, ABSTRACT NO. 2, <br /> TRACT 2: 0.610 OF ONE ACRE (26,572 SQUARE FEET) OF ABSTRACT <br /> 2 AND TRACT 3: 0.642 OF AN ACRE OF LAND TO THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 133-1-14-25 RANCH ROAD <br /> 12, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak regarding the land use change. O. A. Watson stated he <br />was one of the owners of the property involved and requested the <br />Council table consideration of this matter for two weeks so he <br />could discuss a different zoning with the other owners of the <br />property. Mary Martinez advised the Council an amendment to the <br />General Zoning Ordinance was forthcoming to provide a new zoning <br />designation of Limited Business Zoning, and Mr. Watson was in <br />agreement to seek this designation. No one else wished to speak, <br />so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hart moved to <br />table the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />fo llows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY <br /> ZONING LOTS 4-8, OUT OF THE PERKINS ADDITION TO THE CITY <br />
