Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING LOT 1, BLOCK 1 OF THE INTERNATIONAL ELECTRIC CORPORATION ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 2809 IH35 SOUTH, FROM "I" (INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING 7.881 ACRES, LOCATED AT 1612 AQUARENA SPRINGS, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) AND "M" (SINGLE-FAMILY, DUPLEX AND NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "MF-4" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]) AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the zoning amendment. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
