6.3 County agrees to accept maintenance responsibility for the portions of the City <br />Segment that are located outside the corporate limits of San Marcos, Texas upon <br />completion. <br />6.4 County shall pay for the design of the County Segment. County shall submit the <br />plans and specifications for the County Segment to City in order to facilitate <br />design of the four-lane road section of the City Segment. <br />6.5 County shall acquire, at its expense, all right of way necessary for construction of <br />the County Segment. <br />6.6 County shall pay for relocation of utilities along the County Segment, if <br />necessary. However, County shall not be obligated to pay for construction or <br />installation of City's Water and Wastewater utilities along the County Segment, <br />which shall be the obligation of City if, as, and when City opts to perform such <br />construction or installation. The County agrees to include construction of a 16 <br />inch water line and a 15 inch wastewater line as an add alternate in its bid <br />documents for construction of the County Segment. If City wishes to have the <br />waterline and sewer line installed as a part of that contract, then City shall deposit <br />with County an amount equal to the bid price for that add alternate at the time <br />County awards the construction contract for the County Segment. <br />6.7 County shall obtain, at its expense, environmental clearance of the County <br />Segment. <br />6.8 County shall competitively bid and award a contract for the construction of the <br />County Segment that provides for its completion within twenty-five (25) months <br />of the Effective Date of this Agreement.
