skill ordinarily exercised for similar projects by professional Consultants who possess special <br />expertise in the types of services involved under this Agreement. <br />1.1.4 No work under this Agreement will be subcontracted by the Consultant without prior <br />written approval from the City. Any work or services subcontracted under this Agreement shall <br />be specified by separate written Agreement and shall be subject to each provision of this <br />Agreement. <br />1.1.5 Any provisions in this Agreement pertaining to the City's review, approval and/or <br />acceptance of written materials prepared by the Consultant and/or its subconsultants, contractors, <br />and subcontractors in connection with this Agreement will not diminish the Consultant's <br />responsibility for the materials. <br />1.1.6 Consultant will perform all of its services in coordination with the City. The Consultant <br />will advise the City of data and information the Consultant needs to perform its services and the <br />Consultant will meet with City representatives at mutually convenient times to assemble this data <br />and information. <br />1.2 PHASE 1 -CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM <br />The Consultant will: <br />1.2.1 Meet with key city staff to finalize the project plan, benchmarks and timeline. <br />1.2.2 Update and/or create new job descriptions to insure that the descriptions are current, <br />accurate and are consistent with the Fair Labor Standards Act ("FLSA"), Equal Employment <br />Opportunity ("EEO") and Americans with Disabilities Act ("ADA") considerations. The <br />Consultant will ensure that job descriptions are consistent with current format and are updated to <br />reflect current job duties, requirements, desirable licenses, certifications, environmental factors <br />and hazards, physical demands, verified qualifications including knowledge, skills and abilities, <br />education and experience requirements. The City will work with the Consultant to resolve any <br />inconsistencies. <br />1.2.3 Provide the City with updated job descriptions in Word format as well as in hard copy. <br />1.2.4 Work with City staff to develop a communication plan. <br />1.2.5 Interview City staff as necessary to clarify information. <br />1.2.6 Design appropriate classifications and positions to be allocated based on duties, <br />responsibilities, and minimum requirements using a custom process of factor point evaluation <br />method for internal equity and market for external competitiveness. factor or other acceptable <br />quantitative evaluation procedure, which would assure internal equity and external <br />competitiveness. <br />2 <br />
