RESOLUTION NO.2025-19OR <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS AUTHORIZING A REQUEST FOR <br />REIMBURSEMENT FROM THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION ("TXDOT") FOR 95 PERCENT OF THE COST OF <br />THE RUNWAY 17-35 AND 13-31 IMPROVEMENTS AND DECOUPLING <br />DESIGN PROJECT FOR THE SAN MARCOS REGIONAL AIRPORT IN <br />THE ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $1,425,000.00 OUT OF THE ESTIMATED <br />PROJECT COST OF $1,500,000.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />MANAGER, OR HER DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE ALL CONTRACTS AND <br />AGREEMENTS WITH TXDOT AS NECESSARY TO OBTAIN SUCH <br />REIMBURSEMENT AND TO EXECUTE A DESIGNATION OF <br />SPONSOR'S AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos intends to make certain improvements to the San <br />Marcos Regional Airport; and <br />WHEREAS, the general description of the project is described as: the Runway 17-35 and <br />13-31 Improvements and Decoupling Design Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos intends to request financial assistance from the Texas <br />Department of Transportation for these improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, the total cost of the project is estimated not to exceed $1,500,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos' share of the cost is estimated not to exceed <br />$75,000.00 (five percent); and <br />WHEREAS, the federal share of the costs are $1,425,000.00 (ninety-five percent), which <br />is the amount for which the City Council of the City of San Marcos now desires to seek <br />reimbursement; NOW THEREFORE, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. A request for reimbursement from the Texas Department of Transportation <br />("TXDOT" for 95 percent of the cost of Runway 17-35 & 13-31 Improvements and Decoupling <br />Design for the San Marcos Regional Airport in the estimated amount of $1,425,000.00 is hereby <br />authorized. <br />
