Funding Request Summary <br />1. PTACC Summit Training <br />2025 International Deflection & Pre -Arrest Diversion Training Summit for 6 attendees <br />httl2s:Hptaccollaborative.ora/wp-content/uploads/2025/09/PTACC-National-Deflection- <br />Summit-DRAFT Agenda-29-August-2025.pdf <br />The PTACC (Police, Treatment, and Community Collaborative) Summit is the premier national <br />training event focused on deflection and pre -arrest diversion strategies. It brings together law <br />enforcement, behavioral health professionals, researchers, policymakers, and community <br />advocates to share best practices and develop innovative approaches to public safety and <br />behavioral health collaboration. <br />Amount Requested: $9,300 <br />2. 911CCT Training <br />911 Crisis Call Training (https://www.crptinc.org/911 CCT) for the Mental Health Clinician <br />This training will help the mental health clinician better understand the upstream processes of <br />911 call triage and how information is relayed to field units. This insight strengthens <br />coordination between dispatch, officers, and clinicians. By understanding how crisis calls are <br />initially assessed and categorized, clinicians can tailor their interventions more effectively and <br />ensure continuity of care from the first point of contact. Additionally, clinicians can bring back <br />insights from the training to help improve internal protocols, training materials, and response <br />workflows. Their clinical perspective can help shape policies that are both effective and sound. <br />Amount Requested: $1450 <br />3. Mental Health Community Engagement Program <br />The Mental Health Unit is seeking to be more proactive with community engagement. They will <br />utilize these items to increase awareness of mental health issues and inform the community about <br />available services. In addition to providing information, they plan to invest in items that can be <br />offered to clients during crisis situations to help distract from distressing stimuli, support self - <br />regulation, and assist with de-escalation of the crisis event. These items will also include MH <br />Unit contact information so the client will have it readily available. Additional materials will be <br />developed for family members to provide resources and guidance when a loved one is in crisis. <br />Amount Requested: $2,000 <br />4. Therapy K9 Heat Alarm Kennel <br />Replacement heat alarm system for the Therapy K9 vehicle. This system ensures the safety of the <br />therapy dog while on scene. The MH Officer assesses the stability of the situation before <br />deploying the K9 to assist individuals in crisis. The alarm alerts the officer to any issues with the <br />vehicle's cooling system and activates emergency cooling measures if the air conditioning fails. <br />Amount Requested: $2,250 <br />5. Victim Services — Emergency Unmet Needs Program <br />This program is designed to provide immediate, compassionate, and practical support to <br />individuals and families impacted by crime. These are needs that are not covered by general <br />crime victim compensation programs but are often urgent, immediate, and time -sensitive. They <br />represent the first steps in stopping the cycle of victimization and helping individuals regain <br />
