ORDINANCE N0.2008-18 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE <br />MAP FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LDR) TO PUBLIC (P), FOR A <br />0.4775 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 108 <br />EASTWOOD STREET; AND AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP <br />OF THE CITY BY REZONING SAID 0.4775 ACRE TRACT AND A 0.5043 <br />ACRE TRACT OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, LOCATED AT 117 MEINERS, <br />FROM SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (SF-6) TO PUBLIC <br />AND INSTITUTIONAL (P}; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. <br />RECITALS <br />1. On April 8, 2008, the City Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San <br />Marcos held public hearings regarding: a request to change the Land Use Map of the San <br />Marcos Horizons City Master Plan from Low Density Residential (LDR) to Public (P) for a <br />0.4775 acre, more or less, tract of land located at 108 Eastwood Street; and a concurrent request <br />to change the zoning of said 0.4775 acre tract and a 0.5043 acre tract of land located at 117 <br />Meiners from Single-Family Residential District (SF-6) to Public and Institutional (P). <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearings on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission <br />considered and voted to approve the requests and recommended that the requests be approved by <br />the City Council. <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on May 6, 2008 regarding the requests. <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 1, Development Procedures, of the City Land <br />Development Code pertaining to Future Land Use Map Amendments and Zoning Map <br />amendments have been met. <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following <br />ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1.
