Regular Meeting September 22, 2003 Page 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING A CANDIDATE AND SEEKING THE RECOMMENDATION BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR ELECTION TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES BOARD OF DIRECTORS; NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Diaz moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Narvaiz seconded the motion. Ms. Narvaiz moved to amend Part 2, to nominate John Thomaides to the Transportation, Infrastructure, and Services of the NLC Policy/Steerinq Committee, Jacob Montoya to the Community and Economic Development Services of the NLC Policy/Steerinq Committee, Mayor Habingreither moved to nominate Bill Taylor to the Information, TechnoloGY, and Communications of the NLC Policy/SteerinG Committee and Mr. Taylor moved to nominate Susan Narvaiz to the Finance, Administration, Interqovernmental Relations of the NLC Policy ISteerinq Committee and Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Thomaides moved to amend Part 1 to nominate Susan Narvaiz as candidate for election to the Nation League of Cities Board of Directors and Mr. Montoya seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Thomaides, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Narvaiz. Habingreither, Montoya, Taylor and Diaz. The Council then voted for adoption of the Resolution. following vote was recorded: On roll call the AYE: Narvaiz (except self), Thomaides, Habingreither, Montoya, Taylor and Diaz. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Narvaiz (self). Mayor Habingreither introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 8, 2003, approval of one Ordinance on second reading and adoption of one Ordinance on third reading, and adoption of ten Resolutions, on consensus. The Council removed Items #16, #17 and #21, adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Montoya moved for approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held September 8, 2003, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading and adoption of the remaining seven Resolutions and Ms. Narvaiz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of these Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: Approval of Ordinance on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE CONVEYANCE OF A 14,400 SQUARE FOOT TRACT OF REAL PROPERTY LOCATED OFF OF VALLEY VIEW WEST ROAD TO THE UNITED STATES FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A SPECIAL WARRANTY DEED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Adoption of Ordinance on third and final reading:
