Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />The San Marcos City Council reconvened into regular session at 10:44 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />May 20, 2008. The following direction to staff was required from Executive Session: <br />Direction was given to staff regarding the possibility of an economic incentive to <br />prospective businesses. <br />5. Invocation <br />Merlin Starr, Chaplain of Central Texas Medical Center, provided the invocation. <br />6. Pledge of Allegiance <br />The assembly recited the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />7. Citizen Comments <br />Darrell David, 1819 Pebble Brook, New Braunfels, Texas 78130, spoke regarding Item <br />40 regarding abandonment of Meiner Street. He represents the applicant and is present to <br />answer any questions the Council might have. He encouraged the Council to support the <br />Planning and Zoning recommendation. <br />Elva Gonzales, 1201 Mountain View, San Marcos, Texas 78666, spoke in support of <br />Item 12, CDBG program. <br />Marsha Moore, 202 ?U. Sierra Circle, San Marcos, Texas 78666, spoke in support of Item <br />12, CDBG program and provided complimentary HCWC tickets to the City Manager for <br />an event on May 31, 2008. <br />8. Staff Reports <br />Rick Menchaca, City Manager, provided the Council with names for the Conference <br />Center rooms. He stated he is working with Dr. Lewis on setting a Workshop so Council can <br />review the results of the Visioning Workshop. He asked the Council to check their calendars to <br />see if -------- or ---------- works for them and to contact him. He also informed the Council that <br />Staff had been interviewing for the Airport Director and will soon be looking for Planning and <br />Engineering Directors. <br />9.
