AT WORK IN THE COMMUNITY <br />Beyond the work of the City of San Marcos Historic Preservation Program, the City and local partners <br />in preservation, listed in the following pages, have successfully restored, rehabilitated, and reused <br />buildings, protected natural landscapes, and recorded community history for nearly 75 years since <br />the creation of the Hays County Historical Commission (HCHC), established (est.) in 1953.
