appropriate locations at the Project site by the Contractor. <br />1.6.30 Conduct final inspection with the City and prepare a punch list prior to final acceptance <br />by the City. <br />1.6.31 Upon Project completion, the Engineer will issue and sign a "Notification of <br />Completion" acknowledging the Project's construction completion. Within six months after the <br />Project is completed, the Engineer will file with the City a set of as-built plans that are signed, <br />sealed and dated by the Engineer that incorporate any construction revisions. The Engineer will <br />certify that the Project was constructed in accordance with the as-built plans and specifications. <br />1.6.32 Prior to the end of the one year warranty period, review the completed Project with the <br />City and the Contractor and have all deficient items corrected. The extent of the duties, <br />responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Engineer as the City's representative during <br />construction will not be modified or extended after the construction contract documents have <br />been authorized by the City to be competitively bid without written consent of the City and the <br />Engineer and with notice to the Contractor. <br />1.7 ADDITIONAL SERVICES/CHANGE IN SERVICES <br />1.7.1 Since the Engineer's compensation is a fixed fee for Basic Services, including minor <br />deviations from those described in this Agreement, compensation to the Engineer for additional <br />services will only be for substantial deviations from the scope of services described in this <br />Agreement. The Consultant will submit a written estimate of fees to the City and obtain the <br />City's authorization before initiating any additional services. The following are specifically <br />considered to be additional services and will be subject to the provisions of this Subsection: <br />a) Detailed field investigations outside the proposed right-of--way. <br />c) Environmental services required because of state or federal funding; <br />d) Wetland permitting and/or mitigation planning; <br />e) Endangered species Section 7 or 10 consultations; <br />f) Preparation of a pre-construction notification to the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers or an Individual Permit or performance of other activities associated <br />with the Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and detailed mitigation planning; <br />g) Preparation of a National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental <br />document; <br />h) Testing and/or mitigation planning for any potential historic or archeological <br />sites; <br />i) Curation associated with the cultural resources or above-ground resources survey; <br />j) Surveys and environmental review of Contractor and Construction Specific <br />Activities such as borrow pits, batch plants, including permits, will be obtained by <br />the construction contractor; <br />k) Preparation of an Edwards Aquifer Water Pollution Abatement Plan or a <br />Contributing Zone Application.
