1) Preparation of construction documents for pumping improvements; <br />m) Additional study to determine the impact of blending surface treated water and <br />well water on water infrastructure and service; and <br />n) Preparation of metes and bounds descriptions for an estimated 11 permanent <br />water easements, 11 temporary working space easements and 1 temporary <br />construction staging area easement (23 parts total). Each part of parcels having <br />more than one part will be counted as one parcel. Actual quantity of required <br />parcels will be determined during the preliminary engineering phase. <br />1.7.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Engineer <br />must be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section 15.2 of this Agreement. The approval of <br />the City's governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which <br />exceeds $50,000. <br />ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br />The City will: <br />2.1 Provide full information to the Engineer regarding the City's requirements for the <br />Engineer's services under this Agreement. The City will furnish the Engineer with copies of <br />official City design standards and construction standards, and other data and information in the <br />City's possession needed by the Engineer at the Engineer's request. <br />2.2 Designate Octavio Garza, P.E. as the City's Project Manager and authorized <br />representative to act on the City's behalf with respect to this Agreement. The City will examine <br />the documents and information submitted by the Engineer and promptly render responses to the <br />Engineer on issues requiring a decision by the City. <br />2.3 Provide access to and make all necessary provisions for the Engineer to enter public and <br />private property including the provision of rights of entry as required for the Engineer to perform <br />its services under this Agreement. <br />2.4 Provide access to a City water hydrant to supply water, at no cost and pursuant with City <br />policies, to the Engineer's geotechnical sub-consultant for use during drilling. <br />2.5 Secure right of entry into private property ahead of time and supply to Engineer and its <br />subconsultants. <br />2.6 Bear all costs incidental to this Article. <br />KBR-Comanche Water Transmission Main (24") Agreement <br />14 <br />
