Consider adoption of Ordinance 2010-2, on emergency, amending Section 18.288 of the <br />San Marcos City Code to extend the moratorium on the issuance of licenses for sexually <br />oriented businesses for an additional period of time; declaring an emergency; and <br />providing an effective date. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adopt Ordinance <br />2010-2 on emergency, as previously captioned. The motion carried unanimously. <br />24. Consider an ordinance amending the traffic register maintained under Section 82.067 <br />of the San Marcos City Code to set a two (2) hour parking restriction on the west side of <br />the 200 block of North Street from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; and <br />including procedural provisions; and consider ordinance on the first of two readings. <br />is MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Terry and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the ordinance <br />on the first of two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />25. Consider an ordinance amending Section 2.444 of Chapter 2, pertaining to complaints <br />under the Ethics Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances which governs the complaint <br />procedures, review of complaints and sanctions for violations; including procedural <br />provisions; and declarine an effective date; and consider ordinance on the first of two <br />readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to approve the <br />ordinance on the first of two readings, amending Section 1(E) to replace "or" with "and". The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br />26. Consider moving the March 16, 2010 Regular City Council meeting to another date in <br />March. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Thomaides and a second by <br />Councilmember Jones, the City Council voted six (6) for and one (1) opposed, with <br />Councilmember Terry voting against, to move the March 16, 2010 Regular Meeting to March <br />30, 2010.
