MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to reconsider this item. • <br />The motion carried unanimously. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to move the March 16, <br />2010 Regular Meeting to March 23, 2010. The motion carried unanimously. <br />27. Discussion on a pilot program to provide single stream recycling services to multi- <br />family complexes, and provide direction to staff. <br />Sabas Avila, Public Services/Transportation, provided an historical chronology of a proposed <br />single stream recycling program for multi-family complexes. He also reported on survey results. <br />The proposed pilot program would be for six months and would be paid by the City. One bid <br />was received from Texas Disposal. Staff recommends the City proceed with the pilot program <br />contract, using the bid with glass and including the written education program. With those <br />elements, the contract price is $23,790. <br />The City Council directed staff to proceed with the pilot program, using the bid with glass, and <br />the bid options to include the written education program and linking to the TDS website. <br />28. Consider approval of a Comprehensive Solid-Waste Management Plan Task Force and <br />proposed members thereto. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made b • <br />by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to accept staff's <br />recommendation to create a Comprehensive Solid-Waste Management Plan Task Force.
