MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember Thomason, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to reconsider this item. • The motion carried unanimously. MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to move the March 16, 2010 Regular Meeting to March 23, 2010. The motion carried unanimously. 27. Discussion on a pilot program to provide single stream recycling services to multi- family complexes, and provide direction to staff. Sabas Avila, Public Services/Transportation, provided an historical chronology of a proposed single stream recycling program for multi-family complexes. He also reported on survey results. The proposed pilot program would be for six months and would be paid by the City. One bid was received from Texas Disposal. Staff recommends the City proceed with the pilot program contract, using the bid with glass and including the written education program. With those elements, the contract price is $23,790. The City Council directed staff to proceed with the pilot program, using the bid with glass, and the bid options to include the written education program and linking to the TDS website. 28. Consider approval of a Comprehensive Solid-Waste Management Plan Task Force and proposed members thereto.
