The motion carried unanimously. <br />NON-CONSENT AGENDA <br />27. Consider appointment of elected official to serve on the Lone Star Rail District Board. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Bose and a second by Councilmember <br />Terry, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to appoint Councilmember <br />John Thomaides to the Lone Star Rail District Board. The motion carried unanimously. <br />is 28. Consider an ordinance amending Article 3. Taxicabs, of Chapter 90, Vehicles for Hire, <br />of the San Marcos City Code to update, expand and clarify city regulations for taxicabs; <br />adding provisions regulating pedicabs; setting maximum taxicab fares and charges; <br />including procedural provisions and declaring an effective date; and consider ordinance on <br />first of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Porterfield, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to adopt the ordinance on <br />the first of two readings. The motion carried unanimously. <br />29. Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 18, Businesses, Article 6, Sexually Oriented <br />Businesses, of the San Marcos City Code to change definitions and location requirements; <br />providing for penalties, and, including procedural provisions; and consider ordinance on <br />first of two readings. <br />MOTION: Upon a motion made by Councilmember Jones and a second by Councilmember <br />Thomaides, the City Council voted seven (7) for and none (0) opposed, to table this ordinance in <br />order to extend the moratorium at the January 19 meeting.
