LCC includes the overall estimated cost for a particular vehicle, plus the
total costs for: depreciation, insurance, fuel, maintenance/repairs, and cost or use of money to acquire the vehicle over an estimated useful term, based upon
mileage/hours or age of the vehicle. Therefore, by analyzing trends, LCC provides a yardstick to measure vehicle performance and to track economic changes
during normal fleet operations.
