Sec. 90.192. Driver's conduct <br />(a) While on duty. a driver shall: <br />(1) act in a professional and courteous manner: and <br />(2) maintain a `yell-groomed appearance. • <br />(b) While on duty, a driver may not: <br />(1) consume an alcoholic beverage controlled substance, or other substance that could adversely <br />affect the driver's ability to drive a motor vehicle, and may not drive a vehicle while under the influence <br />of an alcoholic beverage, controlled substance. or other substance that could adversely affect the driver's <br />ability to drive a motor vehicle; <br />(2) sell or otherwise provide an alcoholic beverage or a controlled substance to a passenger in a <br />-round transportation service vehicle; <br />(3) monitor the communication frequency of a ground transportation service other than the <br />driver's own frequency or to a service call assigned to another driver: or <br />(4) possess communication equipment, including scanners, capable of receiving the frequency of <br />a sen!-ice other than the driver's own. <br />(c) If a person is convicted of an offense prescribed in Subsection (B)(2) section, the conviction <br />results in the automatic revocation, without further notice, of all chauffeur's pen-nits held by the person. <br />Sec. 90.193. Soliciting for other business prohibited <br />A driver may not solicit business for a hotel. motel. or similar business or attempt to divert patronage <br />from one lodging business to another. <br />Sec. 90.194. Unlawful acts <br />A driver may not knowingly permit an unlawful act to be conducted in the taxicab. <br />Sec. 90.195. Distracting Driver , <br />(a) A person may not distract or attempt to distract the driver of a taxicab by physical contact or <br />disorderly behavior while the driver is operating the taxicab. <br />(b) Violation of this section is a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $500.00. <br />Sec. 90.196. Trainina, Reauired <br />(a) Before applying for a driver's permit, each applicant must attend and complete training on <br />recognizing the symptoms of alcohol poisoning and what to do when thev observe someone with the <br />symptoms. <br />(b) Before applying for a driver's permit, each applicant must attend hospitality training. <br />(c) The Chief of Police will provide the training free of charge to the applicant. <br />Sees. 90.41AI97--90. 9199. Reserved. <br />DIVISION 4. PEDICABS <br />Sec. 90.200. Permit Required. <br />No operating permit required under this division shall be issued or continued in operation unless the <br />holder thereof has paid an annual license fee of one hundred dollars ($100) and a ten dollar ($10) fee <br />each year for each vehicle operated under an operatin<zpennit. The fees shall be paid to the city to <br />compensate the city for its superintendence of the pedicab business operated under this article and for <br />the use of the city streets, alleys and public ways. 0
