A person map serve on the <br /> Historic Preservation Plan Oversight Committee and another permanent cfty board <br /> or commission. <br /> (c) A person may serve on a board of directors for a tax increment <br /> reinvestment zone created by the city and on another permanent city board or <br /> commission. <br /> SECTION 2. Chapter 2, Article 3, Boards and Commissions, of the San Marcos City <br /> Code is amended by adding a new Division 23 to read as set forth below. Underlining indicates <br /> added text. <br /> DIVISION 23.HISTORIC PRESERVATION PLAN OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> Sec.2.370.24. Historic Preservation plan oversight committee; <br /> established; composition; appointment of members. <br /> (a) There is hereby established a historic preservation plan oversight <br /> committee. The committee is composed of seven members, one of which shall be <br /> the Chairperson of the Historic Preservation Commission. <br /> (b) The committee should include members representative of key non- <br /> profit groups including,but not limited to,the Calaboose African American History <br /> Museum, Centro Cultural Hispano de San Marcos, Council for the Indigenous & <br /> Tejano Community, Dunbar Heritage Association, Heritage Association of San <br /> Marcos, Indigenous Cultures Institute, and Texas State University. <br /> (c) Members shall be residents of the city unless they are named as a <br /> representative of one of the groups mentioned in subsection (b) and shall <br /> demonstrate an interest in the history of San Marcos. Members may be former <br /> members of the Historic Preservation Commission. <br /> (d) The members shall serve a term of three years. The committee shall <br /> nominate and select a chair and vice chair. <br /> Sec. 2.370.25. Duties; meetings; reports. <br /> (a) The committee shall review the progress of implementation of the <br /> Historic Preservation Plan and determine the completeness of achieving the Plan's <br /> objectives. <br /> (b) The committee shall, on an annual basis,provide a recommendation <br /> on the prioritization of the objectives to be completed relatingto o implementation of <br /> the Historic Preservation Plan. <br />
