<br />SAN MARCOS ELECTRIC UTILITY <br />ELECTRIC TARIFF <br /> <br />ISSUED BY:- <br /> <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br /> <br />SHEET NO. <br /> <br />EFFECTIVE DATE: <br /> <br />REVISION NO. <br /> <br />DEPOSITS <br />RATE SCHEDULE - DEPOSITS <br /> <br />These deposits shall be returned according to guidelines set out <br />in REFUND OF DEPOSIT below. <br /> <br />DEPOSITS NOT TRANSFERRABLE <br /> <br />Deposits are non-transferrable and will be refunded and/or <br />applied to the final bill upon disconnection of service. <br /> <br />RECORDS OF DEPOSITS <br /> <br />The City shall keep records to show: <br /> <br />( 1) <br />(2) <br /> <br />The name and address of each depositor; and <br /> <br />The amount and date of the deposits. <br /> <br />The City shall issue a receipt of deposit to each applicant <br />from whom a deposit is received, and shall provide means whereby <br />a depositor may establish claim if the receipt is lost. <br /> <br />A record of each unclaimed deposit must be maintained for at <br />least four years, during which time the City shall make a reason- <br />able effort to return the deposit. <br /> <br />REFUND OF DEPOSIT <br /> <br />If service is not connected or after disconnection of ser- <br />vice, the city shall promptly and automatically refund the cus- <br />tomer's deposit in excess of unpaid bills for service furnished. <br /> <br />When a customer has had a minimum of three (3) years consec- <br />utive service at the same location and during the last twenty- <br />four (24) consecutive months of service was not delinquent in <br />payment of any electric bill, the San Marcos Electric Utility <br />will refund the deposit to the customer in the form of cash or a <br />credit to the customer's bill or by surrendering the letter of <br />credit, if a letter of credit was posted. <br />
