<br />I. <br /> <br />II. <br /> <br />Attachment I <br /> <br />STATEMENT OF WORK <br /> <br />HSP AUTHORIZATION: <br /> <br />This contract implements Task A, Sub-Task 1 PSP (88) 01-02- <br />of the FY 88 Highway Safety Plan. <br /> <br />PROBLEM STATEMENT: <br /> <br />The Save City Index for Hazardous Moving Violation (HMV) <br />related accidents that appear in the annual Highway Safety <br />Plan ranks Texas cities with respect to the severity of the <br />problem. This Contractor is on that list with an Index <br />Number of 9th Several roadways within the jurisdiction <br />have demonstrated a significant over-representation of <br />accidents. <br /> <br />III. OBJECTIVES: <br /> <br />IV. <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />To achieve an accident reduction of 20% at the HMV <br />STEP sites by the end of the contract period. <br /> <br />RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACTOR: <br /> <br />A. <br /> <br />Carry out the objectives according to the Milestone <br />Schedule in the approved contract. <br /> <br />B. <br /> <br />Report to the Department, on approved forms, according <br />to the following: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />A (monthly/quarterly) Project Performance Report <br />describing activities and accomplishments will be <br />submitted no later than the 28th of the month, <br />following the end of the reporting period. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />A Financial Status Report will be submitted no <br />less than quarterly by the 28th of the month, <br />following the end of the quarter. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />A Final Report summarizing all activities and <br />accomplishments will be submitted no later than 30 <br />days after the contract end date. <br /> <br />4. <br /> <br />The contractor must complete an officers daily <br />report form that is approved by the State. <br /> <br />C. <br /> <br />In addition to STEP enforcement activities, maintain <br />non-STEP traffic enforcement arrests jurisdiction-wide <br />at not less than the level attained prior to contract <br />approval. <br /> <br />Page 1 of 3 <br />
