Since, only Runway 12-30 has proper rurtW'ay lighting and at <br />the present time, the MI.RL and REIL installation to Runway 08-26 will <br />significantly augment the landing capacity of San Marcos Municipal <br />Airport during favorable wind conditions after dusk. The installation <br />of the two supplemental non-lighted wind cones will pez:mi.t wind <br />directional infonnation to be roore easily displayed to pilots making <br />at=Proaches to Runways 17, 35, 30, and 22. <br /> <br />It:eII .~ 3 - JleI..._LLtJCt B:rlst:.inq Taxiway 8A8 is necessary to permit <br />continued use of Taxiway A which connects Runways 08-26 and 04-22 with <br />the existing aircraft parking apron. '!he northern 45' of the aircraft <br />parking apron is used as a taxiway for Rumlay 08-26. Taxiway A is <br />deteriorating and should be reconstructed to continue its irrportant <br />role of providing direct aircraft access to the Aircraft Parking Apron <br />taxiway. <br /> <br />It:eII.~ 4 - Re«IIIItI'LLdCt B:rlst:.inq Taxiway -ø8 is necessary to pennit <br />continued use of Taxiway B which also connects Runway 08-22 to the <br />existing aircraft parking apron. Both Taxiway A and Bare <br />deteriorating and should be reconstructed to continue their important <br />role of providing direct aircraft access to the Aircraft Parking Apron <br />taxiway. <br /> <br />Environmental impact of these inprovements is not required; additional <br />infœ:mation concerning the airport and the reccmnended irnprova:rent plan <br />may be found in the Airport Master Plan Up1ate report. <br /> <br />Exhibit "A" shows the airport and location of the proposed <br />inprovements . <br />
