If necessary, the ARCHITECT shall implement construction costs savings measures or otherwise endeavor to limit probable construction cost to the level of available funds set by the OWNER. ARTICLE 4 REDmURSABLE EXPENSES 4.1 If reimbursable expenses are to be paid as a part of this Agreement as set forth in Article 13, such expenses are in addition to the Compensation for Basic and Additional Services and include certain actual expenditures made by the ARCHITECT and the ARCHITECT's employees and consultants in the interest of the Project for the expenses listed in the following Subparagraph: 4.1.1 All expenses incUrred by the ARCHITECT which are chargeable to the PROJECT, which in general include expenses for transportation, equipment, travel communications, subsistence and lodging away from home, field office expenses, reproduction and similar incidentals. ARTI CLE 5 PAYMENTS TO THE' ARCHITECT 5.1 PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT OF BASIC SERVICES 5.1.1 Payments for Basic Services shall be made to ARCHITECT monthly following receipt by OWNER of ARCHITECT's invoice therefor and shall be paid only upon the completion of the Basic Services phase and as set forth in Article 13, less any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. 5.2 PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES 5.2.1 Payments on account of the ARCHITECT's Additional Services as defined in Paragraph 1.6 and for Reimbursable Expenses as defined in Article 4 shall be made monthly upon presentation of the ARCHITECT's statement of services rendered or expenses incurred, less any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. -13-
