<br />25 <br /> <br />This AGREEMENT is made this the <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />December <br /> <br />1987 <br /> <br />, between the CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, hereinafter referred to <br /> <br />as "OWNER", <br /> <br />630 East Hopkins, <br /> <br />San Marcos, <br /> <br />Texas 78666, <br /> <br />and CHARLES <br /> <br />WILLIS AND ASSOCIATES, ARCHITECTS AND PLANNERS, hereinafter referred to <br /> <br />as "ARCHITECT", 709-B West Abram street, Arlington, Texas 76013, for <br /> <br />architectural services in connection with the preparation of plans and <br /> <br />specifications for the San Marcos Municipal Airport Terminal Building. <br /> <br />WITNESSETH: <br /> <br />OWNER and ARCHITECT do hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br />ARTICLE 1. <br /> <br />ARCHITECT'S SERVICES AND RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />ARCHITECT <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />responsible <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />proper, <br /> <br />accurate <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />adequate design of the San Marcos Municipal Airport Terminal Building <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />well <br /> <br />as <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />preparation <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />accurate <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />adequate <br /> <br />plans, <br /> <br />specifications <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />other <br /> <br />construction <br /> <br />contract <br /> <br />documents <br /> <br />for <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />project(s), and any provisions in this Agreement pertaining to OWNER's <br /> <br />review, <br /> <br />approval <br /> <br />and/or <br /> <br />acceptance <br /> <br />of <br /> <br />plans, <br /> <br />specifications, <br /> <br />construction contract documents, or other written materials prepared by <br /> <br />ARCHITECT and/ or its consultants, <br /> <br />contractors, <br /> <br />and subcontractors in <br /> <br />connection <br /> <br />with <br /> <br />this <br /> <br />project(s) <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />not <br /> <br />be <br /> <br />deemed <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />diminish <br /> <br />ARCHITECT's responsibility therefor. <br /> <br />The ARCHITECT's Basic Services <br /> <br />shall <br /> <br />consist of the following phases described in Paragraphs <br /> <br />1.1 <br /> <br />through 1.5 and include normal structural, mechanical and electrical <br /> <br />~ngineering services and any other services included in Article 14 as <br /> <br />~art of Basic Services. <br /> <br />-1- <br />
