<br />Personnel, and the City Manager or Assistant City Manager <br /> <br />must approve any request for outside employment. <br /> <br />E. <br /> <br />USE OF CITY PROPERTY <br /> <br />City equipment, property, and facilities shall be used <br /> <br />for official City purposes only. <br /> <br />Use of City vehicles to <br /> <br />transport unauthorized persons is prohibited. <br />Information, equipment, and materials, developed by <br /> <br />employees while working for the City are the property of <br />the City and may not be used by employees in other <br /> <br />employment or for personal gain. <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />SAFETY <br /> <br />The City of San Marcos recognizes the importance of <br />providing a safe working environment for its employees. <br /> <br />Employees will not be required to perform hazardous duty <br />without first receiving training concerning the hazard, <br /> <br />the proper work methods, and any appropriate measures or <br /> <br />equipment to be used. <br /> <br />M~nagement will provide health and <br /> <br />safety programs including, but not limited to, facility <br />inspections, sanitary facilities, emergency evacuation, <br /> <br />first-aid, defensive driving, hazard identification and <br /> <br />evaluation, and environmental protection. <br /> <br />Employees are <br /> <br />expected to participate in safety programs and are <br />required to observe rules, regulations, and instructions. <br /> <br />(Refer to City Safety Program and Statement.) <br /> <br />-17- <br />
