<br />vacation days and time off for jury duty will be <br />considered hours worked for purposes of calculating <br /> <br />overtime. <br /> <br />Unscheduled absences or time off for sickness, <br /> <br />emergencies or other personal reasons will not be <br />considered for overtime purposes. <br /> <br />G. <br /> <br />COMPENSATORY TIME <br /> <br />Compensatory time off is an alternative to overtime pay. <br />Compensatory time off may be granted to nonexempt <br /> <br />employees at one and one-half (1-1/2) times the amount of <br />time worked over forty (40) hours in a work week. <br /> <br />Compensatory time is to be documented within the <br />department and is to be accrued and used within thirty <br /> <br />(30) days. <br /> <br />Accumulation and use of compensatory time <br /> <br />will be granted only with supervisory approval. <br /> <br />H. <br /> <br />PERSONAL LEAVE TIME <br /> <br />All exempt employees are granted forty-eight (48) hours <br />of personal leave time per fiscal year in lieu of <br /> <br />overtime pay. <br /> <br />The personal leave time is available <br /> <br />immediately upon employment and is not accrued beyond <br /> <br />September 30 of each year. <br /> <br />Use of personal leave time <br /> <br />requires prior supervisory approval. <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />STANDBY DUTY PAY <br /> <br />Nonexempt employees who ~re required to be on standby <br />duty (able to be at the worksite within thirty (30) <br /> <br />minutes although not on active work duty), are <br /> <br />-30- <br />
