<br />E. <br /> <br />STABILITY PAY <br /> <br />The purpose of stability pay is to reward employees for <br />continuous service to the city. (Not applicable to Civil <br /> <br />Service.) <br /> <br />Stability pay is awarded the first pay period <br /> <br />in December to employees who will have completed five (5) <br /> <br />continuous years of service by December 31 of the current <br /> <br />calendar year. <br /> <br />Stability pay is based on $3.00 per month <br /> <br />per year of service up to twenty-five (25) years, payable <br /> <br />after five (5) full years of service. <br /> <br />Regular part-time <br /> <br />employees also earn stability pay based on hours worked <br />(i.e. twenty (20) hours per week employees earn one-half <br /> <br />F. <br /> <br />(1/2) total atability pay amount). <br />OVERTIME <br /> <br />Employees shall work overtime hours when necessary with <br /> <br />the advanced approval of their Department Supervisor. <br />Overtime shall be allocated as evenly as possible among <br /> <br />all employees qualified ~o do the work. <br /> <br />Nonexempt <br /> <br />employees must either be paid overtime or receive <br />compensatory time off for time worked in excess of the <br /> <br />normal forty (40) hour work week. <br /> <br />Overtime pay and <br /> <br />compensatory time are calculated at one and one-half <br /> <br />(1-1/2) times the regular hourly rate. <br /> <br />In order to be <br /> <br />paid, overtime hours must be fully documented on <br />departmental time sheets and must be authorized by the <br /> <br />Supervisor and Department Director. <br /> <br />Scheduled holidays, <br /> <br />-29- <br />
