<br />the last work day prior to the holiday. <br /> <br />Employees may <br /> <br />receive a paycheck early only for the following reasons: <br /> <br />1. <br /> <br />A bona fide emergency situation. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Employee will be out of town on City business on <br /> <br />the payday. <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Employee will be out of town on scheduled vacation <br /> <br />leave. <br /> <br />Paychecks will be given to someone other than the <br />employee only if the employee provides advance written <br /> <br />permission to the Personnel Department. <br /> <br />D. <br /> <br />TERMINAL PAY <br /> <br />Employees who, terminate prior to completing the six (6) <br />month probationary period are not eligible to receive <br /> <br />vacation pay at termination. <br /> <br />Upon termination all <br /> <br />regular employees who resign in "good standing" (provide <br />a written statement of resignation to their supervisor at <br /> <br />least two (2) weeks in advance of resignation) will be <br /> <br />compensated for unused vacation time up to a maximum of <br /> <br />thirty (30) days (240 hours). <br /> <br />Payment will be based on <br /> <br />the employee's salary for the two (2) weeks prior to <br />termination and the employee will be expected to work the <br /> <br />final two weeks in order to receive compensation for <br /> <br />accrued leave. <br /> <br />Employees hired prior to september 27, <br /> <br />1980 are eligible for payment of accumulated sick leave <br /> <br />(Sick Bank) . <br /> <br />(See Section VIII-E-2-i SICK LEAVE) <br /> <br />-28- <br />
