The complex reporting structure betweeCity <br />departments, the Chamber of Commerce, and EDSM Board and staff has <br />created confusion and redundancy in economic development activities. <br /> <br />EDSM’s staffing and funding levels are significantly lower than <br />sized, competitive economic development organizations. <br /> <br />EDSM’s only program is Grow One, which focuses on business retention and <br />expansion. The program involves one-to-one meetings with area executives <br />as well as an annual business survey. <br /> <br />EDSM’s current marketing program has a few foundational marketing tools, <br />such as a simple website, industry brochures, and an annual demo <br />report.
