Continue to invest in and expand the capacity of Greater San Marcos <br />economic development website. <br />o <br />Enrich the economic development website with research, real estate, <br />business resources, and community information that show corporate <br />executives and site selectors that the Greater San Marcos area i <br />prepared to meet their needs. <br />o <br />Incorporate San Marcos new Grow One brand into the design and <br />messaging of the website. <br />Use social media to market. <br />o <br />Ask Texas State University to involve a team of marketing studen <br /> <br />crafting and launching a social media plan for Greater San Marcos. <br />o <br />Continue by recruiting a new team of students each semester to <br />manage the campaign. <br />Participate in regional and state marketing initiatives. <br />o <br />Expand Greater San Marcos participation in Opportunity Austin and <br />Texas One sales missions, focusing on regions containing a high <br />’ <br />concentration of Greater San Marcos target industries. <br /> <br />Continue hosting commercial real estate tours of Greater San Marcos. <br />o <br />Invite commercial realtors from across Central Texas to tour the <br />areas sites and buildings. <br />o <br />Provide them with an up-to-date listing of all available properties. <br />o <br />Keep tours concise and information-rich. <br />Formalize public relations functions. <br />o <br />Start with a media relations campaign within Central Texas. <br />o <br />Over time, expand into select geographic markets nationwide and <br />targeted trade publications. <br /> <br />Continue to develop collateral to support Greater San Marcos marketing <br />campaign. <br />o <br />Create a data DVD and area map that fits within a branded CD-Rom <br />case. <br />o <br />Update the Demographic Profile on an annual basis.
