Project: <br /> <br /> ATTACHMENT A <br /> Payment Provision <br /> And <br />Work Responsibilities <br /> <br />To construct an extension of Stagecoach Drive which extends northeasterly approximately 0.068 <br />miles from its present intersection with FM 3407. The estimated total project cost for the extension of <br />Stagecoach Drive is $.124,612.58; and <br /> <br />Improvements to the existing water and wastewater facilities on FM 3407 shall be constructed by the <br />State. The water and wastewater facilities shall be owned, operated, and maintained by the Local <br />Government from and after completion and final acceptance by the State and LoCal Government. <br />The costs of remediation of any contamination attributable to the Local Government's facilities, <br />encountered during construction, shall be borne by the Local Government. The estimated total <br />project cost for the water and wastewater improvements is $148,355.12. <br /> <br />2. Local Government Responsibilities: <br /> <br />The Local Government shall perform the following: <br /> <br />(A) <br /> <br />Engage the services of a Texas Licensed Professional Engineer to prepare drawings <br />and technical specifications for the construction of the water and wastewater <br />improvements and to provide construction engineering services for same; <br /> <br />(B) <br /> <br />Obtain all City permits for the Project. Obtain Texas Commission of Environmental <br />Quality (TCEQ) approvals for construction of water and wastewater lines. Inspect, test <br />and report test results on the water and wastewater lines to TCEQ in accordance with <br />State requirements; <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Arrange and coordinate with the contractor, materials and equipment testing, reject all <br />work not conforming to minimum requirements of the construction contract documents <br />and advise the engineer and the State of work that the Local Government determines <br />should be corrected or rejected; <br /> <br />(D) <br /> <br />Arrange and observe with the contractor all acceptance testing (including without <br />limitation, pressure testing, pump start up, bacteriological testing, etc.) and notify the <br />State and the engineer of the conduct of same; <br /> <br />(E) <br /> <br />Notify the State and the engineer of defects and deficiencies in the work and observe <br />actions of the contractor to correct such defects and deficiencies. <br /> <br />(F) <br /> <br />Maintain the Local Government's daily construction inspection reports, a quantity list, <br />and additional or revised drawings for the water and wastewater improvements; <br /> <br />Page 1 of 4 Attachment A <br /> <br /> <br />
