1.5.24 The extent of the duties, responsibilities and limitations of authority of the Engineer as the <br />City's representative during construction will not be modified or extended after the construction <br />contract documents have been authorized by the Cityto be competitively bid without written consent <br />of the City and the Engineer and with notice to the Contractor. <br /> <br />1.6 ADDITIONAL SERVICES <br /> <br />1.6.1 The City may direct the Engineer to perform services outside of the scope of the Basic <br />Services described in Sections 1.1 through 1.5 above. The Engineer will submit a written estimate <br />of fees to the City and obtain the City's authorization before initiating any additional services. <br /> <br />1.6.2 Each material change (deletion or addition) in the services to be provided by Engineer must <br />be authorized by the City on the Authorization of Change in Services form attached to this <br />Agreement as Attachment A. Compensation for additional services will be in addition to that <br />specified for Basic Services in accordance with Section 14.3 of this Agreement. The approval of the <br />City's governing body is necessary for all additional services the compensation for which exceeds <br />$25,000. <br /> <br />1.6.3 The following items are not considered part of the Basic Services and are specifically <br />included as additional services: <br /> <br />Preparation of geotechnical investigations or reports. <br />Environmental contamination assessments and remediation. <br />Section404 and threatened/endangered species permitting issues. Should permitting <br />be necessary, Engineer will provide these as Additional Services. Engineer assumes <br />that a Nationwide Permit will cover this project. <br />Archeological services assume a finding of no impact; if additional investigation and <br />research is required it will be performed as additional services. <br />Field survey for easement parcels is for one time only per parcel. Additional <br />easement surveys will be considered additional services. <br />Document preparation for easements is considered to be one time only, subject to <br />minor revisions apparent upon review by the client. <br />All survey work is to be made accessible with right of entry obtained by the City. <br />The diameter and points of connection included in this Project have been determined <br />in the Water Master Plan prepared for the City by others. If additional analysis is <br />required to determine the final diameters or connection points, this will be considered <br />additional services. <br />On-site representation and inspection will be provided by the City. <br /> <br /> ARTICLE 2 <br />THE CITY'S RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> <br />The City will: <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> <br />
