foot spacing, excluding dense foliage (if required). <br /> <br />1.3.8 Evaluate easement requirements for construction, maintenance and access. <br /> <br />1.3.9 Prepare preliminary easement descriptions to include proposed acreage. <br /> <br />1.3.10 Prepare cost analysis of thrust blocking versus mechanical restrained joints. <br /> <br />1.3.11 Prepare letter report discussing the requirements and/or need for cathodic protection. <br /> <br />1.3.12 Prepare archeological clearance documents and review previous studies and proposed <br />alignment. Engineer will also meet with the Texas State Historic Commission to present a no impact <br />finding (assumes a finding of no impact and no additional investigation will be required). In addition, <br />the Engineer will prepare environmental clearance documents (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />"USACE" and U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service. "USFW") assuming aNationwide 12 permit applies <br />and perform general water quality assessment for potential impacts to wetlands. <br /> <br />1.3.13 Perform analysis ofvegetation for suitability as habitat for threatened and endangered species <br />and submit results of habitat survey for threatened and endangered species to the USFW. Prepare <br />environmental assessment for review and approval by the City and the Texas Commission on <br />Environmental Quality ("TCEQ") for Section 401 Water Quality Certification. The Engineer will <br />provide the City with four copies of the draft and six copies of the final reports. <br /> <br />1.3.14 Develop schematic level ground profiles of alignment. <br /> <br />1.3.15 Develop hydraulic profiles for alignment. <br /> <br />1.3.16 Evaluate pipe pressure class requirements. <br /> <br />1.3.17 Prepare preliminary plan and profile sheets for alignment. The Engineer will plot the <br />pipeline alignment in plan view and in profile view. <br /> <br />1.3.18 Develop cost estimates. <br /> <br />1.3.19 Incorporate findings of environmental and archeological reviews conducted as part of this <br />phase and make alignment adjustments on plan and profile schematics. <br /> <br />1.3.20 Conduct one stakeholders meeting. <br /> <br />1.3.21 Prepare a preliminary engineering report for the City to include all items collected during <br />preliminary design. <br /> <br />1.3.22 Conduct monthly meetings with the City to review progress (assumes 6 months for <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br /> <br />
