221. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2004- 23 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS <br />EXPRESSING THE CITY'S SUPPORT FOR <br />THE CENTRAL TEXAS CLEAN CITIES <br />PROGRAM; APPROVING A MEMORANDUM <br />OF UNDERSTANDING; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Central Texas Clean Cities is a locally based, voluntary effort of over <br />30 companies, agencies and municipalities to expand the use of alternatives to gasoline and <br />diesel fuel, alternative fuel vehicles, and the development of fueling infrastructure to make <br />alternative fuels available; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to express Rs support for Central Texas Clean <br />Cities, and to approve the City's participation in Central Texas Clean Cities by approving a <br />memorandum of understanding among the members; <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The City Council expresses its support for the programs and activities of <br />Central Texas Clean CRies to expand the use of alternatives to gasoline and diesel fuel, <br />alternative fuel vehicles, and the development of fueling infrastructure to make alternative <br />fuels available. <br /> <br /> PART 2. The Central Texas Clean Cities Memorandum of Understanding, a copy <br />of which is attached to this resolution, is approved. <br /> <br /> PART 3.
