2. Working towards meeting the vehicle emission standard of Title II of the <br /> Clean Air Act Amendments of 1990; <br /> <br /> · Educating the public on alternative fuels and alternative fuel vehicles <br /> (AFVs) and their contribution towards an overall reduced emissions strategy; <br /> <br /> 4. Encouraging the development of safe public AFV infrastructure; <br /> 5. Reducing fleet operation costs; <br /> <br /> 6. Supporting mandated fleets in meeting their state, federal and local <br /> alternative fuels requirements; <br /> <br /> 7. Supporting the goals and objectives of the Central Texas Clean Cities <br /> stakeholders' alternative fuel policies and AFV Implementation Plan <br /> (attached) . <br /> <br /> This Memorandum of Understanding b not intended to, and does not create, any contractual rights and obligations with respect to <br /> the signatories or any other parties. This MOU may be amended with the consent of the signing parties and may be terminated by <br /> the mutual consent of the signing parties upon thirty (30) day written notice to the parties. Any party may withdraw at any time <br /> from participating in the MOU and thereby terminate its commitments thereunder; this withdrawal does not terminate the MOU or <br /> the commitments with respect to the remaining signatories. This MOU will become effective upon the date of signature of the <br />~--'~rties and shall expire on its fifth anniversary. <br /> <br /> <br />
