On roll call, <br />the motion to adopt the amendments as summarized by the City <br />Manager was unanimously approved. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved to reschedule the regular meeting scheduled <br />for Monday, May 28 to Tuesday, May 29, 1979 at the regular <br />meeting place. Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration the re-award of a bid <br />for a sanitation truck chassis. The City Manager explained <br />that the low bid submitted in December by Waggoner Pontiac <br />could not be honored by that company. Mr. Cavazos moved to <br />accept the bid submitted by Chuck Nash Chevrolet in the amount <br />of $12,450. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion. Mr. James moved <br />to retain the bid bond submitted by Waggoner Pontiac to be <br />applied against the higher cost of the Chuck Nash bid. <br />Mr. Sutton seconded the motion. On roll call, the motion on <br />the amendment to retain the bid bond passed with the following <br />vote: <br /> <br />AYE: James, Sutton, Tenorio, Cavazos, <br />Hansen <br />NAY: Breihan, Hyatt. <br /> <br />On roll call, the motion to accept the Chuck Nash bid in the <br />amount of $12,450 passed unanimously. <br /> <br />At 8:40 p.m., the meeting was recessed to executive session to <br />discuss the disposition and acquisition of property on motion <br />of Mr. Tenorio and second of Mr. Breihan. The meeting recon- <br />vened at 9:30 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hyatt and second of Mr. James. <br />The Mayor reported that the Council had discussed the acquisition <br />or disposition of three parcels of property.
