Mr. Cavazos <br />moved to sell the entire two lots and retain easement for the <br />generator and Central Fire Station steps. No second could<p~ <br />found for the motion. Mr. Tenorio moved to advertise for ~ <br />the main City Hall Building and lot plu~ 35 feet extending <br />into the second lot for a minimum bid price of $75,000 and <br />to include a demolition contract for the annex~ building. <br />Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved to cancel the June 11, 1979 City Council I <br />meeting. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />It was noted that four Council Members would be attending a <br />Texas Municipal League Mayors and Council Members conference <br />in San Angelo on that date. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration receipt of a letter <br />of resignation from the City Manager. Mr. Sutton moved <br />that the letter of resignation, a copy of which is attached <br />and made a part of these minutes, be accepted with regret. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />At 10:15 p.m., the Council recessed to executive session on <br />motion of Mr. Tenorio and second of Mr. James with six votes <br />in favor and Mr. Breihan opposing the motion. The Council <br />reconvened in regular session at 10:30 p.m. on motion of <br />Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. Mr. Cavazos immediately <br />moved to recess to executive session to discuss the appointment <br />of an interim City Manager. Mr. Hyatt seconded the motion., <br />On roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cavazos, Hyatt, Hansen, James, <br />Sutton, Tenorio <br />NAY: Breihan. <br /> <br />The meeting reconvened in regular session at 11:45 p.m. on I <br />motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. Hyatt. The Mayor <br />announced that the Council had discussed the hiring of an , <br />interim City Manager. Mr. James moved to appoint Director <br />of Public Works Ray Kotowski as Acting City Manager effective <br />June 15, 1979. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion. On roIl <br />call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Hansen, James, Sutton, Tenorio, <br />Cavazos <br />NAY: Hyatt, Breihan. <br /> <br />Mr. James moved to authorize salary and benefits for <br />Mr. Kotowski in the same amount as that being received by <br />the current City Manager. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously. Council discussed the fact that <br />the effective date on Mr. Dunlap's resignation was June 29. <br />Mr. Htatt moved that Mr. Dunlap be relieved of his duties <br />effective the 15th day of June but that he be paid through <br />June 29 as stipulated in his letter of resignation.
