I I I regular meeting, august 7, 1978 31 page three The Mayor introduced a report from the Board of Equalization. Their certification of the tax roll is attached and made a part of these minutes. The Mayor also reported that the Board of Equalization had made a recommendation for employment of a personal property appraiser for the City. Mr. Arredondo suggested that they be invited to come before the Council during the budget hearings to discuss their recommendation. Mr. Hyatt moved that the certification of the Board of Equalization be accepted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for discussion proposed improvements to Harvey Street. The Director of Public Works reported to the Council that funds were available for proposed improvements to Harvey and that improvements to MitchelL including construction of a bridgeJ could also be funded. Mr. Hyatt moved that monies be allocated for requested improvements to Harvey Street. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. By common consent, Council requested consideration I of improvements to Cheatham Street be placed on the next agenda. Mr. Corliss Dees came before the Council to present a request on behalf of Mr. Donald Major, to tap an existing water line running in front of his property which is located outside the City limits on River Road. Mr. Hansen moved that the request be tabled until more information could be obtained from the Department of Public Works. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
