One letter of objection which had been earlier presented was withdrawn. Mr. Adcock was in attendance to present l11s requestvto the Council. Mr. Hyatt moved the permit De approved. Mr, Sutton seconded the motion which passed unanimously. LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (YOL. 321 BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A PORTION OF LOT 2, BLOCK 24 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, LOCATED AT 315 NORTHL.B.J. DRIVE FROM "c" (COMMERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMERCIAL1 , I Following the reading of the ordinance, Mr. Cavazos opened a public hearing to consider the requested zoning change. Mr. Morgan Fuschak came before the Council to make his request. Mr. Austin Varner, representing the San Marcos Church of Christ, also appeared before the Council to object to the requested zoning change. Following the public hearing, Mr. Hyatt moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr.; Sutton seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Arredondo, Hansen, Cavazos, Hyatt,.. Sutton NAY: Breihan, James. Ms. Mary Gonzales was present to represent the applicant, Mr. Julian Gonzales. Ms... Gonzales said the. business was currently operated as a grocery store, however, persons did stop from time to time and have meals on the premises. No objections were presented to. the zoning change. Following the public hearing, the Mayor moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Sutton seconded the motion.
