<br />99 <br /> <br />regular meeting, november 6, 1978 <br /> <br />page two <br /> <br />Mr. Harry Johnson came before the Council with a report <br />on the Redwood Road improvements to be implemented by <br />the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation. <br />Mr. Johnson informed the Council that the property <br />descriptions for right-of-way to be acquired by the City <br />for widening of the road had been prepared. By common <br />consent, the Council agreed to proceed with negotiations <br />to acquire the right-of-way. <br /> <br />Mayor Cavazos introduced for discussion a proposal by the <br />Texas Museum of History, Inc. Mrs. Catherine Johnson, <br />representative of the Texas Museum of History, Inc., was <br />present. Her report is attached and made a part of these <br />minutes. No action was taken on this matter. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration a request for water <br />service to property located on River Road, outside the <br />City limits. Mr. Senon Delgado is the applicant. <br />Mr. Ray Kotowski stated Mr. Delgado was requesting water <br />service be provided to his home on River Road. Mr. Kotowski <br />said the City would incur no expense that would not be <br />reimbursed by the tap fee and deposit paid by Mr. Delgado. <br />Mr. Hyatt moved the request be approved. Mr. Hansen seconded <br />the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />Mayor Cavazos introduced Item #10 out of order, discussion <br />of financing procedures for the Master Plan revision. <br />Mr. Sierra reported that State 701 Planning monies would not <br />be available to fund the project. Council requested the <br />Staff inquire about other State assistance for transportation <br />studies and come back to the Council with recommendations for <br />revision of the plan. <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Mayor Cavazos introduced a public hearing on a request to <br />temporarily place a mobile home on Lot 49, A. M. Ramsay <br />Addition, 215 Lockhart. The applicant is C. F. Gore. The <br />Planning and 20ning Commission recommends approval. The <br />Mayor closed the public hearing. Mr. Sutton moved the <br />request be approved. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which <br />passed unanimously. The Mayor opened a public hearing on <br />a request to temporarily place a mobile home on Lot 71, <br />A. M. Ramsay Addition, 100 Seguin. The applicant is <br />Pat Black. Planning and Zoning recommends approval. <br />Mr. Cavazos closed the public hearing. Mr. Hansen moved <br />the request be approved. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced a public hearing and read an ordinance <br />in its entirety having the following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGU- <br />LATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED <br />MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 3Z) BY CHANGING THE <br />ZONING OF LOTS 133 THROUGH 156 OF THE <br />WESTOVER ADDITION, TWO BLOCKS BOUNDED BY <br />EARLE, DARTMOUTH, COLUMBIA AND HAZELTON <br />STREETS, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY <br />RESIDENTIAL) TO "R- 2" (DUPLEX). <br /> <br />Mr. Homer Hamilton, Jr., applicant, was present. Planning <br />and Zoning Commission recommended approval. Mr. Breihan <br />moved the ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Hansen <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Cavazos introduced for discussion a criteria for <br />selection of a City Manager.
