I I I 172 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JANUARY 22, 1979 Present: Mayor Robert L. Cavazos Council Members Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan John A. Hansen Bob Hyatt Berry R. James Kenneth E. Sutton City Manager City Secretary Assistant City Attorney Director of Public Works Director of Community Services Royal Dunlap Doriss Hambrick Barbara Jean Edwards Ray Kotowski Albert Sierra Also Present: Frances Emery, Gilbert Tenorio, Terry Roberts, Jerri Martin, Gary Bond, Dawn Smith, Dempsey Serur, Mary Castillo, Jeff Watkins, Austin Curlee, W. B. pryatel, Corliss Dees, Kenneth Long, Chris Bishop, Joyce Evans, Joe Cox, Lupe Carbajal, and others. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Cavazos at 7:30 p.m. The minutes of the regular meeting held Monday, January 25, 1979 were approved on motion of Mr. Hyatt and second of Mr. Hansen. The Mayor introduced for consideration the appointment of Civil Service Commissioner. Mr. Sutton moved to confirm the City Manager's reappointment of Charley Williams as Civil Service Commissioner. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor read an ordinance in its entirety having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN ~~RCOS, TEXAS, OF PART OF LOTS 12, 13 AND 14, BLOCK 6 OF THE ORIGINAL TOWN OF SAN MARCOS, FURTHER DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT A, LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. A-6 NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA TO LEO P. CLOUD AND JERRY D. CLOUD; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO LEO P. CLOUD AND JERRY D. CLOUD; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Albert Sierra, Director of Community Services, was present to answer questions and explained that the second and third paragraph should be changed from SO feet to 25 feet. He also explained the City would receive $3,700 for 6,097 square feet of property. Mr. Hansen moved the ordinance be approved on first reading, as amended. Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
