<br />55 regular meeting, june 14, 1976 <br /> <br />page four <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved to allocate $2,500 for Dunbar Center basketball court <br />renovation and $2,000 for backstops in Gilcrease Park. Mr. Arredondo seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved to approve $17,000 for industrial development, specifically <br />the . City I s share of a community program to hire a person to promote industrial <br />development, placing a time limit of December 1, 1976 on the allocation, after <br />which date if the funds had not been matched by the County and Chamber of Commerce, <br />the would be allocated to another program. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />By conlD1on consent the Council also approved the allocation of $6,000 for paint I <br />and bl~tons for street marking, $6,006 for a portable building for Scheib Opportunity <br />Center, and $1,000 for aerial photographs of the city for planning purposes. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved that the Resolution approving the Planned Use Report (attached) <br />be approved. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read a Resolution, the caption of which is as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR FUNDS TO <br />THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AFFAIRS FOR A "701" LOCAL PLANNING <br />AND MANAGEMENT PROGRAM GRANT AND DESIGNATING THE CITY MANAGER AS THE <br />RESPONSIBLE OFFICIAL FOR CARRYING OUT THE PROGRAM SHOULD IT BE FUNDED. <br /> <br />Mr. Arredondo moved approval of the Resolution, placing a $14,000 limit on the <br />total :program by deleting the aerial maps previously in the revenue sharing program. <br />Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of <br />Mr. Cavazos. <br /> <br />,(...:.- rE.u-,- <br /> <br />, Emmie Craddock <br />Mayor <br /> <br />~~~ <br /> <br />Frank ~'.
