106 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER OF THE 27, 1976 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Robert L. Friedrich Also present: Albert Sierra; Terry Roberts; Celestino Mendez; Marcos Vargas; Frank Contreras, Jr.; Larry Murphree; Ronald Champion; Corlis Dees; Pete Rodriguez; Henry Guerra; Ardelia Brennan; Tommy Ragsdale; Mrs. Everett Johnson; Mrs. WilliaJll A. Wyatt, Sr.; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Craddock issued a proclamation in observance of Fire Prevention Week to Commander Tommy Ragsdale of the Fire Suppression unit of the Public Safety Department. I The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of September l3, 1976 were introduced for consideration. Mr. Hansen moved their approval. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion. Mr. Sutton moved they be aJIlended to include the aJIlount of bid on the agricultural lease submitted by Arnold Schaeferkeoter (page three). Mr. Hansen agreed to the amendment in his motion. On roll call, the motion to approve the Minutes, as amended, was unanimously approved. The Minutes of the Special Meeting held September 30, 1976 were approved on motion of Mr. Hansen and second 0 f:,Mr. Arredondo. Mr. Cavazos moved to reappoint Frank Contreras, Jr. and to appoint Dr. Williwn Crook to the Planning and Zoning Commission. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Cavazos moved to appoint Mrs. Monica Cline to the Senior Citizens Adviso~r Board. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock moved to reappoint Larry Murphree as Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock moved to reappoint Ronald D. ChaJllpion as Alternate Municipal Court Judge. Mr. Hansen. seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Cavazos moved to confirm the appointment by the Mayor of Corlis Dees and Pete Rodriguez as alternates to the Zoning Board of Adjustment and Appeals. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Hansen moved to confirm the appointment by the City Manager of Rex Reddell as Civil Service Commisioner. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I Mr. Cavazos moved approval of a temporary permit for Henry Guerra to locate a. mobile home at the intersection of Seguin and Second streets, On lot 70 of the A.M. Ramsay Addition. Mr. James seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
