205 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MARCH 21, 1977 Present: Mayor Emmie Craddock Councilmen Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan Robert L. Cavazos John Hansen Berry R. Williams Also present: Jake Krauskopf; Terry Roberts; Mary Salinas; Ron Champion; Garlanc, Stokes; Ernest Navarro; Tom Hamilton; John Williamson; Pedro Grimaldo; Shirley Wickersham; Allen King; Jerri Martin; Melissa Millecam; Gary Bond; and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 28, 1977 were approved on motion of Mr. Sutton and second of Mr. Hansen. The Minutes of the Special Meeting held Mro:ch 7, 1977 were approved on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of Mr. Sutton. I The Mayor introduced for consideration the confirmation of the appointment of a Municipal Court Clerk. The City Manager informed the Council that his appointment was Mrs. Mary Salinas, currently an employee in the Accounting Department. Mr. ,\rredondo I moved the appointment be confirmed. Mr. Brei han sec onded the motion, which pas sed unanimously. Mr. Breihan moved to table the appointment of a committee to review the Municipal Court operation. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing to consider a re~uest for a change in the zoning of Lots 9 through 13 of Block 3 and Lot 25 of Block D in the Hughson Heights Subdivision, Addition #1, from "R-l" to "R-2" for Lots 9 through 13 and from "R-2" to "D" for Lot 25. H. Garland Stokes, vice president of Hughson Heights, Inc., came before the Council to re~uest the change. It was noted that one letter of objection had been received. There were no further objections presented at the hearing. The Mayor closed the hearing and read an Ordinance having the following caption: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING, SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS 9 THROUGH 13, BLOCK C OFHHUGHSON HEIGHTS ADDITION NUMBEF: ONE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "R-2" (DUPLEX) AND LOT 25, BLOCK D OF HUGHSON HEIGHTS ADDITION NUMBER ONE, FROM "R-2" (DUPLEX) TO "D" (MULTIFAMILY); SAID PROPERTY LOCATED ON L.B.J. DRIVE AND L.B.J. COVE. Mr. Sutton moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cavazos seconcled the motion,which passed unanimously. I Mr. Cavazos moved approval of a permit to temporarily locate a mobile home on part of Lot 73, A.M. Ramsay Addition, located near the intersection of Third and Se~lin streets, re~uested by Ernest Navarro. Mr. Arredondo seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Cavazos moved approval of a permit to temporarily locate a mobile home on a tract of .71 acres on Loop 80, re~uested by Tom Hamilton. Mr. James seconded the motion, which, passed unanimously.
