<br />regular meeting, march 28, 1977 <br /> <br />2l:\~ <br /> <br />page three <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND <br />USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY <br />CHANGING THE ZONING OF 1. 406 ACRES OUT OF THE J .M, VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER <br />TWO, LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF SESSOMDRIVE AND ED J ,L. GREEN DRIVE, 'mOM <br />"c" (CO!'1MERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMER~IAl). <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final reading. Mr. James <br />seconded the moti~~>,wp,t~h passed,unani~ousiy. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE' OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FIXING <br />RENTAL FEES TO BE' PAID AND CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS TO, BE MET BY THE <br />LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF 'CONTINUING TO ENTER <br />UPON AND USE THE STREETS, AlLEYS AND PUBLIC GROUNDS OF THE CITY OF SAN MAf:COS, <br />FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISTRIBUTING ELECTRIC POWER AND ENERGY FOR LIGHTS, HEA~' AND <br />POWER TO THE CITY AND ITS INHABITANTS; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; <br />AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. Mr. Cavazos <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration bids received on a one-half ton, pickup truck. <br />The Ci~y Manager '~Jcplain,ed the bids were received on a truck for the street department. <br />He exPlained that the bid recommended by the staff was not the low bid. Mr. Baugh said <br />the staff recommended purchasing a truck from Red Simon Ford in the amount of $4334.41 <br />instead of the low bidder who did not submit a bid bond as req~red in the general <br />specifications for bidding. Mr. Breihan moved the truck be purchased from Red Simon <br />Ford in the amount of $11334.111. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the Council approve the purchase of air test equipment from Naylor <br />Supply Company in the amount of $6,603.93, the only bid received. Mr. Cavazos <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The City Manager explained the 0 <br />equipment was required to meet EPA and Texas Water Quality Board standards:.; <br /> <br />At 8U5 p.m. the Council recessed to reconvene April 4, 1977, at 5:30 p.m. in the <br />Council Chambers to canvass the returns of the Regular City Election to be held <br />April 2, 1977, on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. <br /> <br />RECESSED REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY CCOUHCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,APRrEL4, 1977 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Emmie Craddock <br /> <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />Frank T. Arredondo <br />Ted Breihan <br />Robert L. Cavazos <br />John Hansen <br />Berry R. James <br />Kenneth E. Evans <br /> <br />Also present: Pat Black; Melissa Mi11ecam; Bill Pennington; and others. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The. idei"ting,,'@.sdrebonvened at 5:40 p.m. on motion of Mr. Hansen and second of <br />Mr. James. <br /> <br />The Council canvassed the returns of the Regular City Election held Apri~.2, 1977. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a Resolution declaring the result of the Election. It is <br />attached aDd made a part of these Minutes. Mr. Breihan moved the Resolution be <br />adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
