regular meeting, march 28, 1977 2l:\~ page three The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 1. 406 ACRES OUT OF THE J .M, VERAMENDI LEAGUE NUMBER TWO, LOCATED AT THE INTERSECTION OF SESSOMDRIVE AND ED J ,L. GREEN DRIVE, 'mOM "c" (CO!'1MERCIAL) TO "C-2" (COMMER~IAl). Mr. Breihan moved the Ordinance be approved on third and final reading. Mr. James seconded the moti~~>,wp,t~h passed,unani~ousiy. The Mayor read the caption of an Ordinance as follows: AN ORDINANCE' OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FIXING RENTAL FEES TO BE' PAID AND CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS TO, BE MET BY THE LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY FOR THE PRIVILEGE OF 'CONTINUING TO ENTER UPON AND USE THE STREETS, AlLEYS AND PUBLIC GROUNDS OF THE CITY OF SAN MAf:COS, FOR THE PURPOSE OF DISTRIBUTING ELECTRIC POWER AND ENERGY FOR LIGHTS, HEA~' AND POWER TO THE CITY AND ITS INHABITANTS; PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION; AND PROVIDING FOR A SAVINGS CLAUSE. Mr. Hansen moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration bids received on a one-half ton, pickup truck. The Ci~y Manager '~Jcplain,ed the bids were received on a truck for the street department. He exPlained that the bid recommended by the staff was not the low bid. Mr. Baugh said the staff recommended purchasing a truck from Red Simon Ford in the amount of $4334.41 instead of the low bidder who did not submit a bid bond as req~red in the general specifications for bidding. Mr. Breihan moved the truck be purchased from Red Simon Ford in the amount of $11334.111. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. I Mr. Hansen moved the Council approve the purchase of air test equipment from Naylor Supply Company in the amount of $6,603.93, the only bid received. Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The City Manager explained the 0 equipment was required to meet EPA and Texas Water Quality Board standards:.; At 8U5 p.m. the Council recessed to reconvene April 4, 1977, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers to canvass the returns of the Regular City Election to be held April 2, 1977, on motion of Mr. Cavazos and second of Mr. James. Mayor Craddock introduced a Resolution declaring the result of the Election. It is attached aDd made a part of these Minutes. Mr. Breihan moved the Resolution be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
