<br />I <br /> <br />51 <br /> <br />regular meeting, february 13, 1978 page three <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AUIHORIZING THE MICROFILMING OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />RECORDS; PROVIDING FOR INDICES, MICROFILM- QUALITY, . ffIJJRAIT <br />AND PUBLIC ACCESS; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the ordinance be approved on second reading. Mr. James <br />seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR FEES FOR THE <br />IMPOUNI'MENT OF ANIMALS, SAID ORDINANCE BEING RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 40, PAGE 63 OF THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND <br />CODIFIED AS SECTION 3-46 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, BY INCREASING SPECIFIED FEES; AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock moved the ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the caption of an ordinance as follCMs: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR MEAT AND MEAT <br />PRODUCTS PERMIT FEES, SAID ORDINANCE BEING RECORDED IN <br />VOWME 40, PAGE 29 OF THE MINUTES OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND <br />CODIFIED AS SECTION 11-56 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, BY INCREASING SAID FEES; AN]) ESTABLISH- <br />ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr. Hansen moved the ordinance be adopted on third and final reading. <br />Mr. James seconded the motion which passed unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration bids received on police vehicles. <br />The City Manager reported that only one bid had been received in accordance <br />with the bids specifications and that a second bid had been presented but <br />received after the established deadline. Mr. Webster stated his concern <br />with the lack of competition from local dealers and asked the Council if <br />they wish the City to actively solicit bids outside San Marcos. By corrnncn <br />consent, the Council directed the City Manager to refrain from active <br />solicitation of bids from businesses located outside the City. Mr. Breihan <br />moved to accept the bid of Chuck Nash Chevrolet in the amount of $6,247.70 <br />per each two toned police units and $6,165.31 for each one color police <br />VehiCle, with a trade in allowance of $500.00 per car. Mr. Cavazos seconded <br />the motion which passed unanimously. Dr. Craddock moved -to accept the bid <br />of Chuck Nash Chevrolet for a small pickup truck in the amount of $3,750.00 <br />and a full size truck in the amollilt of $4,215.00. Mr. Hansen seconded the <br />motion which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported that the City had auctioned off junk and scrap <br />items and materials and received $441. 00.
